Aims & Objectives
To provide a secure, comfortable living environment for elderly people who have lived a full and active life, but are now unable or unwilling to live alone.
Staff are trained to a high standard and committed to providing the best possible service to residents in a homely environment.
The home will treat the individual with dignity, maintaining personal independence, allowing freedom of choice and opportunities for residents to enhance their quality of life.
Residents of Thornbury have the right to care for themselves as far as they are able and willing. This right is carried out by means of a personal care plan which is updated at regular intervals.
Thornbury cares about and places value on our residents' previous life experiences. Staff enable every resident to express their wishes and desires and above all to listen to their needs. Thornbury also places high value on providing a nutritious, balanced and varied menu with personal likes and dislikes taken into constant consideration. An alternative menu is also available upon consultation with the cook. All fruit and vegetables delivered to the home are from a local organic supplier.
